Strange sound woke up the boy in the middle of the night. A flapping, almost wet sound. He saw a shilluete in his room, just across the bed. He started to panic but rational part of his mind told him he is just imagining things, things which aren't there. He brushed his eyes and looked again. It was just a bad dream, he thought... until it moved.
