Love oath

After returning from his voyage, Bjorn found his village ransacked and destroyed. Families shattered by the loss of their loved ones, their houses wrecked to the ground, many of his friends dead.

He ran to his house which stood just above sea shore, atop of the little hill. As many others his house was also destroyed. His Sigrid, his love was missing. He looked among the living and the dead. She was nowhere to be found.

Monster, the villagers called it, has been here. It left large footprints leaving the village, going to the forest beyond. He didn't wait a second. With faith and courage in his heart he followed it.

Many beasts beset him on his path. From abominations in a parody of a woman with feathers and wings to teriffying woodland berzerkers.

His jurney led him to the top of a lonely mountain many leagues above his home. Nature was illuminated by the sun above. He felt morning breeze on his skin.

There he found ruined house. Yard littered with bones, human and animal remains.

From the house large monster stepped out. A giant. Set to kill him he bellowed in anger and attacked!

Behind the monster he saw her. Beautiful and fierce. His Sigrid, his love.

Only thing he had on his mind was love oath he gave her all those years ago.
